Massage Therapy

Many studies show massage as effective for treating a variety of pain conditions including cancer pain, surgical pain, chronic low back pain, knee pain, cardiac surgery, rheumatoid arthritis, headaches, carpal tunnel, neck and shoulder pain, fibromyalgia and athletic injuries. The Joint Commission recommends massage as a non-pharmacologic alternative to opiate medications.

Other areas that massage can be valuable include: inflammation, stress, anxiety, fatigue, depression, PTSD, substance use, hospice, scar management, lymph drainage, maternity and newborn care.
